Understanding consumers' day-to-day experience with products

Consumer opinion blogs

You want to get a lasting understanding of how consumers actually use products on a daily basis.

To do this, you would like to test the product as it would be used in consumers' homes, to see whether it is effective and easy to understand through periodic consumer feedback.

A qualitative approach

Using Conso'Blog and Conso'Forum, you can record consumers' experience with the product through an internet platform specially developed for each study.

1. Recruiting the target
Eight to thirty-six people are recruited depending on the specific nature of the study subject and how they use a specific product or product category. These consumers are not necessarily bloggers, but need to have internet access.

2. Setting up internet discussion platforms
In Vivo BVA creates an internet platform that participants can access to share their day-to-day experience with the product.

3. Recording consumers' experience with the product
Each day, over a pre-determined 1-3 week timeframe, participants log on to the website to share their experience with the product.

Spontaneous and detailed information

Bloggers are strongly committed to the test and to the product
People are less inhibited and express themselves more freely on the internet

  • A flexible medium that removes inhibitions:
Participants respond whenever they want, wherever they want.
Participants can log on easily from their own email accounts.

  • Participants can say whatever they want, as much or as little as they please.
Participants can respond whenever or wherever they like.
  • The data collection conditions encourage user spontaneity and candor, which is perfect for more personal care products, such as slimming creams.
